Today we visited ESADE in Sant Cugat del Valles. ESADE is a globally known business school for MBA degrees, Law, undergrad degrees, masters and PhDs, Research and innovation from both students and outside sources alike. ESADE has been ranked one of the best International MBA programs and follows a very hands on approach when it comes to teaching and learning.
When visiting ESADE today we were able to listen to many different speakers including; Prof. Ferran, Javier Aguilar, and Jorge Fernandez of kernel.
Prof. Ferran was a very interesting speaking in how he led his talk as a class about marketing and how service marketing mainly encompasses the satisfaction of the consumers. Different than how classes can sometimes be taught in the US, he made sure to have discussion and participation as well as made it an important point to always apply knowledge before jumping to a decision/conclusion.
Javier Aguilar is an entrepreneur who focuses on new technologies. He has had his fair share of trials and tribulations and has seen some of his startups become very profitable and see others fail miserably. But from Javier, one can see that it is all about knowledge and knowing your consumer to understand what will work and what won't when it comes to starting a business or service or even creating a product. One interesting point Javier brought up was how he divides his time (top right corner) - it shows that time management and taking time for yourself is important to be successful.

Jorge Fernandez is the CEO and Founder of kernel - a Neuro strategy/marketing start-up that focuses on consumers subconscious mind and wants rather than their conscious. I found his talk probably most interesting out of all of them today because of how different this is to learning about consumers cognitive behaviors and understanding them more for companies and businesses. From a marketing research perspective, I immediately thought of the different ways studies such as what he is doing with kernel could elevate my company that I work with.
