Today was a full day of interesting visits.

First we walked around Activa and learned about the great opportunities housed within this site for entrepreneurs, innovators and the like. I found it interesting how many different programs they had available to the people to help them learn how to create their own start-up or bring their ideas to life.

Hutchison was also very interesting because of the wide variety of technology that is used on site. I loved watching the cranes and how easily all of the engineers and conductors of the machines drive around to move crates without once coming into contact with one another. It's amazing how large all of the machines were and how much goes into this industry. I can only imagine all of the engineering work as well as market research that went into creating and maintaining this type of industry. Truly amazing.

Our last visit for the night was KIC InnoEnergy - which was the company Andrew and I worked on. It was nice to listen to people from the company talk about everything we researched and have it all come to life through their stories. When researching about InnoEnergy I immediately thought about "Shark Tank" and how those panel of "sharks" listen to and decide on who they want to invest their time and money into in return for a share of their business. Similarly, InnoEnergy does the same with sustainable energy start-ups and projects. With an acceptance rate of about 5% for start-ups and projects, InnoEnergy is focused on only choosing and investing in those who share the same beliefs for clean tech and sustainable energy for both today and the future.
